Sherman Cottage Reno.

The intention was to recapture some of the “cottage” feel of this 1930’s structure while expanding the kitchen and dining areas by moving the master bedroom into the attic. The greatest challenge was the re-design of the heavy timber roof truss, to allow the bedroom to flow through them. The solution came in the form of two steel-plate arches that bind the structure together and set the character of the new space.
